Volunteer for an Inafa’maolek Committee!

Inafa’maolek.us is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Alameda, CA, land of continuing importance to the Chochenyo-speaking Ohlone people. Our mission is to inspire hope and strengthen our CHamoru Bay Area community. To support this mission, we are seeking dedicated community members to voluntarily join one of three active committees for 2027:

• Kutturan Committee: Focuses on CHamoru language, cultural preservation, history, and community engagement through educational resources and programs. Past events include CHamoru Language Through Arts courses, CHamoru dance instruction, Neurodiverse Navigators summer program, rosary making, and community storytelling projects.

• Åmot Committee: Centers traditional and contemporary CHamoru healing arts and holistic ways of knowing and being, cultivating balance and harmony by uncovering what is instinctive within our community. Past events include Inafa’maolek Outdoors (hiking), Harmony circles, Writing Inafa’maolek, CHamoru gardening, 5K events, and beach cleanups.
