From CHamoru musician PcMuñoz:
It’s not too late to get tickets to the next installment of The Freight’s ONE SONG ALL NIGHT series on Thursday April 2nd!
As always, five Bay Area artists reimagine one iconic song in radically different ways. On April 2nd, the song is the archetypal heartbreak ballad “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” by Hank Williams.
Bringing the flavor in 3/4 time:
David Boyce of Broun Fellinis: multi-reed sorcery
Short-Term Fun: a cappella goodness
Camilo Landau & Javier Navarrette: quixotic guitar + Afro-Latin rhythms
Evan Price: emotive violin virtuosity
Martin Luther McCoy: San Francisco Song Stylist Supreme
Ill be your host for the evening. Ticket link in comments - and I’ll be on KALW’s Fog City Blues program with Devon Strolovitch March 29th to play some new music and talk a bit about this show!
Poster by Katie Kincade - extremely limited copies available at show!
